Syllabication Concentration. The fifth-grade students in Mr. Sabedra’s Reading Intervention class practiced syllabication. When given a regular word, the students had to concentrate on each word and determine how to divide the word into syllables. After reading the word as syllable portions, they blended the parts of the word and read the whole word at a natural pace. Syllabication teaches students to read unknown words, increases their sight-word vocabulary, and aids in learning how to spell words.🙂

Dear EEISD Community,
Thank you for your patience with the PFC Ybarra campus power supply issues. This message is intended to update you on the power issues at Ybarra. Although our maintenance team worked with an engineer to identify the failing component in the power supply to the buildings, the required part will not arrive in time to safely open school on Monday, October 25, 2021.
Estimada comunidad de EEISD,
Gracias por su paciencia con los problemas de suministro de energía del campus de PFC Ybarra. Este mensaje está destinado a informarle sobre los problemas de energía en Ybarra. Aunque nuestro equipo de mantenimiento trabajó con un ingeniero para identificar el componente defectuoso en el suministro de energía a los edificios, la pieza requerida no llegará a tiempo para abrir la escuela de manera segura el lunes 25 de octubre de 2021.
Dear EEISD Community,
Thank you for your patience with the PFC Ybarra campus power supply issues. Our maintenance team has worked with an engineer to identify the failing component in the power supply to the buildings. Once the issue was identified, the part was ordered and is expected to be received tomorrow.
Unfortunately, the replacement part is expected to arrive by midday and we will not be able to conduct classes until the necessary repairs are completed. Therefore, PFC Ybarra will be closed tomorrow October 22, 2021. We will not have classes nor afterschool ACE activities.
The district’s instructional calendar has sufficient minutes of instruction built into the calendar and students will not need to make up the closure on another day.
We expect to resume classes at PFC Ybarra as usual on Monday, . Our staff is reaching out to make sure all parents and students are aware of the planned closure.
As always, the health and safety of our students is our number one priority. Thank you for your continued patience as we make the necessary repairs to the damaged equipment. We look forward to welcoming our students back on Monday.
Sincerely,
EEISD Administration
