We’re excited to announce that Spring Pictures will be taking place at LBJ Elementary on Tuesday, March 31, 2026!
This is a great opportunity for students to capture bright, cheerful spring memories. Students will take individual portraits with a beautiful spring backdrop, and families will have the option to purchase high-quality photo packages.
👕 Dress your child in their favorite spring colors to make their pictures extra special!
We encourage all students to be present and ready—attendance matters, and we don’t want anyone to miss out on this fun opportunity!

Our STAAR assessments are just around the corner, and we encourage all families to mark their calendars and help students prepare for success!
April 14th: Reading STAAR Assessment (3rd–5th Grade)

LBJ Elementary will be closed in observance of Easter Break on Friday, April 3rd and Monday, April 6th. Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 7th. We hope you and your family enjoy a joyful and restful Easter holiday filled with time together and celebration. We look forward to welcoming all of our students back ready to learn! As we return from the break, we want to remind our families that attendance matters every day. Being present at school is essential for your child’s academic success, and every day of learning counts as we continue preparing for end-of-year goals and STAAR assessments. At LBJ Elementary, we continue to emphasize that every day of learning matters. To support strong attendance habits, we will be celebrating a Perfect Attendance Incentive on Monday, March 30th.
All classrooms that achieve 100% attendance for the day will earn a Smencil of their choice as a fun reward for showing up ready to learn.
Consistent attendance plays a critical role in student success. When students are present and on time, they are able to fully participate in instruction, collaborate with their peers, and stay on track with their learning goals.

LBJ Elementary will be celebrating Autism Awareness Day on Wednesday, April 2nd. We invite all students and staff to wear blue as we come together to promote understanding, acceptance, and support for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
This special day is an opportunity for our school community to build awareness, show kindness, and celebrate the unique strengths and talents of every student. At LBJ, we continue to foster a culture where all students feel valued, included, and supported.
We encourage families to join us in this important cause by talking with your child about the importance of acceptance and inclusion.
Let’s show our LBJ pride by wearing blue and standing together in support—because being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible also means being inclusive and kind to everyone! 💙
