The Carlos F. Truan leadership team and Edcouch-Elsa ISD’s Dr. Marisol Rocha through the generosity of the Charles Butt Foundation and Raise Your Hand Texas attended the Harvard-School Turnaround Leaders Institute, June 6-10. For the EEISD team this was an indelible opportunity to gain new insights into the work of leading our district to the next level for our students, staff, and community. The Carlos F. Truan team will continue efforts to improve the campus with ongoing support from the Charles Butt Foundation.
With topics focused on adaptive leadership, student well being and understanding how trauma impacts learning, as well as bridging capacity for effective family-school partnerships, EEISD will utilize acquired knowledge to impact all of our district stakeholders for the 2022-2023 school year. Dr. Marisol Rocha noted, “We are so excited to build on the amazing work that has been started in the 2021-2022 school year. The institute confirmed that work being done in EEISD is aptly targeted, but they provided us with the tools to help expedite our plan focused on student and teacher success.”
