Edcouch-Elsa ISD Student Athletes Shine at 2025 Special Olympics Texas Summer Games in Melissa, TX

Edcouch, TX Edcouch-Elsa ISD proudly celebrates the participation of our exceptional student athletes at the 2025 Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) Summer Games, held in Melissa, Texas from May 1–4. The four-day event marked the first time in five years that SOTX held its Summer Games at a brand-new location, hosted by the vibrant and welcoming community of Melissa ISD.

Representing the determination, and heart of the Yellow Jacket spirit, Edcouch-Elsa ISD student athletes traveled to North Texas to compete alongside thousands of peers from across the state in events including track & field, soccer, tennis, gymnastics, cycling, and more. These young competitors trained rigorously for months, demonstrating unwavering commitment and sportsmanship that continues to inspire our entire school district.
