Empowering Collaboration: Superintendent's Parent Roundtable
Edcouch, Texas – September 27, 2023 – The Edcouch-Elsa Independent School District (EEISD) held its Superintendent's Parent Roundtable on September 27, 2023. The roundtable brought together parents and guardians to discuss essential topics related to education in the district.
The roundtable featured an agenda that addressed key concerns and opportunities within the Edcouch-Elsa ISD community. The primary agenda items included:
1. Keeping Edcouch-Elsa ISD Students Safe: The Safety & Security Director, Chief Raul Gonzalez led a presentation and discussion on safety measures and initiatives. Parents engaged in an open dialogue about safety measures and initiatives to ensure the well-being of students in the district.
2. Bond: EEISD leadership shared facts related to the 2023 Bond. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and gain a better understanding of the 2023 Bond.
3. Sharing Stories that Highlight Edcouch-Elsa ISD: The Public Relations and Parental Outreach Administrator, Dr. Jesse Fidelio Garza, presented on the importance of sharing educator and student spotlight stories. These stories shed light on the vibrant and dynamic community within the district.
Dr. Alda Benavides, Superintendent of Edcouch-Elsa ISD, emphasized the significance of collaboration with parents. She stated, "Parents are our best partners, and we must always work together with them to improve the educational opportunities we provide for their children.”
The Superintendent's Parent Roundtable demonstrated EEISD's commitment to engagement and collaboration with the community. It provided an opportunity for meaningful dialogue and a shared vision for the future of education in the district.
