EEISD Theatre Teacher, Mr. Ben Ozuna, Wins Best Actor Award at South Texas International Film Festival
[Edcouch, Texas] September 28, 2023 — The Edcouch-Elsa Independent School District (EEISD) is delighted to extend its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Ben Ozuna, a dedicated Theatre teacher at EEISD, on his remarkable win at the prestigious South Texas International Film Festival (STXIFF). Out of 22 outstanding films, Mr. Ozuna emerged as the recipient of the coveted Best Actor award for his exceptional performance in Perfect Adamm.

This November, Mr. Ozuna will be shining his light in a historical project, as he is set to direct the district’s first musical ever: The Wizard of Oz. “We’re excited to document this historical event and capture behind-the-scenes moments that lead up to opening night,” Dr. Jesse Fidelio Garza, Public Relations & Parental Outreach Administrator mentioned.
