AT&T and Human-I-T Provide 50 Laptops to 12th Grade Students in Edcouch-Elsa ISD

EDCOUCH, Texas, Aug. 17, 2023 — A transformative initiative is underway in Edcouch-Elsa Independent School District as AT&T partners with Human-I-T to equip 50 high school seniors with laptops, addressing the digital divide and ensuring equal opportunities for all in the realm of education and beyond. The laptops, made possible by a generous AT&T donation to Human-I-T, will empower students to engage fully in the digital world and prepare them for a technology-driven future.

Texas state Senator Morgan LaMantia was in attendance and commends the collaboration's impact on the community. 

Virginio Gonzalez, Jr., the Mayor of the City of Edcouch, echoes this sentiment, extending "heartfelt gratitude to Prairie View A&M University Cooperative Extension, AT&T, and Human-I-T for their generous donation of laptops to our Edcouch 12th-grade students."AT&T's collaboration with Human-I-T reflects a commitment to the AT&T Connected Learning program, which focuses on fostering internet accessibility, affordability, and safe digital adoption.
