The curriculum will be differentiated to provide depth and complexity. At the elementary level the Texas Performance Standards Project is implemented and it encompasses the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills along with the Edcouch-Elsa ISD Academic Standards. Students will be taught problem solving, creative, and research skills as well as affect skills this will result in advanced-level products and performances.

The gifted students spend most of their time in a regular heterogeneous classroom, but they are pulled out for a given period of time. A special teacher who designs a differentiated curriculum specifically for the gifted students carries out instruction.

At the secondary level, a coordinator is available at each school to assist students with planning appropriate and challenging programs. A wide variety of enriching electives, honors, and Advanced Placement courses are offered in each of the four core areas of Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science.
