Congratulations to our very own Carlos F. Truan Junior High student, Jesse Garza, for placing 1st in his division at the USA Powerlifting Texas State Championships in San Antonio. Jesse is from Team 7-1. He competed this weekend with Team RGV, which consisted of the Edcouch-Elsa and Valley View High School Powerlifting teams.
Jesse placed 1st in his division when he squatted 226 lbs, benched 136 lbs, and dead lifted 203 lbs. He also helped the RGV Powerlifting Team bring the 1st Place Team Trophy back to the Valley.
